I just got three of these, Indian rupees that all weigh 11.4-11.6 grams. They only seem to vary in what I assume is the regnal year, which can be seen on the left image (which I am pretty sure is the reverse) in the bottom left quadrant and looks like an I and an upside down V. Initially I thought they were British Colonial issues but I've been right through my Pridmore and cannot match them up. Anyone out there able to help?

Ok, I've narrowed the obverse inscription (right image) down to being that of Muhammad Akbar II.
Well I give up, I've been through my Krause from top to bottom. It's very similar to a Bharatapur KM#126a and a KM#106a but the mint marks are different. The mint mark is the 5 pellets which can be seen in the middle of the left image. KM#106a has a star mint mark while KM#126a has a star next to the regnal year.
I was expecting Sap to be able to ID it for you, but maybe I expect too much of him. :winkextra:
I've got it. It's India, Mughal Empire KM#437.4 Rupee, struck from 1718 for 29 years or so. The one I've got imaged here was struck in regnal year 18 which makes it AH1148 or AH1149 (1735-1736). They were struck in the name of Muhammad Shah at the Shahjahanabad mint, which is known these days as Delhi. They are very common.
Sorry, but Indian States coins are very hit-and-miss for me. In this case, I missed. I did have a go at attributing it, but like Markn I had trouble finding a good match.
I got these at a garage sale on the week end
