I seen that on the banknote website but have never seen any 2018 $5 notes
Nothing yet - I don't remember when it was added to the website but there was discussion at the time and I don't think any have been seen.
Trevor Wilkins normally notes the appearance of new notes in CAB and I don't recall him having seen one either.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised because when they did the 2016 initial release there were nearly ten times the usual amount of five dollar notes printed due to the increase in serial numbers so they probably still have a stock of those to release. The 2018s must be there for when they finally run out.
All part of the Reserve's massive printing project.
And it took till 2019 for the 2017 Hundred dollar notes to be released.
There is new $5 notes for 2019 out now. Signatures are Lowe / Kennedy

Looks like our 2018 and 2019 $5s have gotten a bit mixed up.
Haven't seen any sign of 2018 $5s.

Noodled some new $5 EA19 notes today.
Also heaps of general prefix 2019 $5 notes as well in circulation now

Well I got one today - it has seen a bit of use but isn't too bad.
Got a second today. Long time between drinks.
I got sent me some last prefix notes and I've sent them off for grading. Watch this space for about 3 months...
