Title: Overgraded Banknote
Post by: serenitystan on June 13, 2019, 02:37:02 PM
"GEEZ" I am a bugger for pain as i did it again. Last time i bought a note from Downies Auctions described as Crisp Fresh Superb Unc i had to return it as it had a centre fold, pvc damage + rubbing..Just received a pair of Australian one pound notes R33 described as Crisp,Fresh Superb Uncirculated that have a centre roll fold..Unbelievable!!!, For a auction house that has bin around since Vegemite you would think they could see if a note has a centre roll fold. IAG-Status + Nobles describe a note as LCF Unc- Roll fold Unc. I feel sorry for collectors who do not know how to see a light roll fold and buy because the auction house has described it as crisp fresh superb Unc...Will never ever buy from Downies again online..Peed=Off camper... :s  :dodgy: :zomby:

:i_agree: "Yeah"' It would be nice if i could afford to fly all over Australia viewing coins + banknotes at all the Auctions + staying at 5***** hotels. But i just have to keep lookin at there picks  + hopin i get a nice one. If not i just send them back, which at first was a pain but after a few times you get used to it..Went to a Auction in Brisbane + viewed 17 notes described as Unc + not one of em where any where near Unc + yet 14 sold at Unc prices on line.  TOMBSTONE AUCTIONS.....The wild wild west......
