Title: Club Name Change
Post by: humpybong on March 19, 2019, 09:20:47 PM
On 2 May 1991 seven enthusiastic people met in the home of a local resident to discuss forming a coin club in the Redcliffe area for swapping and trading. At the second meeting on 6 June 1991 it was decided to form such a club and the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer were confirmed.
At the third meeting on 11 July 1991 a simple constitution was adopted, committee members were elected and the name The Redcliffe Coin Club was adopted with a membership of 16.

In 1994 the club amalgamated with the Koala Phonecard Club and changed its name to the Redcliffe Coin and Phonecard Club Inc.
It was decided at by a special resolution at our February, 2019 general meeting that the club would change its name to Redcliffe Numismatic Society Inc. to reflect what our members collect.
The Office of Fair Trading Queensland approved our name change on 7th March, 2019 so Effective on that date we became Redcliffe Numismaticm Society Inc.

We still have phonecards collectors (including myself) but we only have 5 members left.

Still cater for them and we have contact with other phoncard clubs in Victoria and WA.
