One more sleep then onto the big bird to Sydney to board the Queen Victoria for a sail to Darwin via Brisbane and Airlie Beach.

Then five days in Darwin and then the Ghan to Adelaide and fly home to Melbourne.

Have fun folks and will be back on line upon our return around 14/15 mar 2019.

I work at Circular Quay in Sydney and took this picture on my lunch break.

I took a photo looking the other way from the ship.  

Huge ship  no crowds.

I have some old slides of the Canberra and the Oriana berthed at the same dock, taken from the AMP building in the early 60's by my Father. The immediate area seems to not have changed all that much.

There were talk to redevelop the wharves area back in 2015. Nothing has happened.

But they have ripped up CBD trying to put in light rail. That's now years late and over budget. And the contractor is suing the government for lying.
