Apart from the Dollar Discovery A, U & S coins, I just saw a FB post selling a satchel of 2019 20c coins.
Not sure what's going on lately.
:scratch_one-s_head:
Yeah that's a bit early - Ian Rank-Broadley obverse?
Yes, I'm sure they were Mr T.
Who is selling these 20c ?
None on thieveBay yet
I've recieved 5 of them from my local coles self service checkout in the last week. I have yet to see any come into the til at work though.
Someone tabled a 2019 20¢ at a coin club meeting on Tuesday night; said they'd picked it up in change from Woolies.
Not sure which portrait was on it.
Interesting ... but that's a good thing I've never heard of a next year coin being released before calendar year before apart from the A U S $1
Also out is the 8th coin determination of 2018.
https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2018L01828
It includes quite a number of new coins for 2019, especially One Dollar coins.
Both JC and IRB effigies are being used.
In my opinion, possible $1 circulation commemoratives are: R13 (cricket world cup), R22 (EUREKA STOCKADE) and R24 (Mutiny on the Bounty).
R14, R15, R16, R17 and R18 are a ''flower series.'' Possibly circulation, but not very likely.
It seems 2019 will be pretty interesting early on.

The 25c coins are interesting perhaps another Newscorp folder
Woolworths are doing the usual set this year it's the Mr Squigle stuff
No new circulating $2 commemoratives - yet.

The 25c looks like another Newscorp folder ?
It says those 25 cent coins are going to be 99.9% silver .. Maybe not going to be a Newscorp item?
Mike
I got four 2019 20c pieces from 10 rolls today.

Interesting hey but sounds like a silver version of a gold coin :-/
I think this is just the tip of the iceberg...

Yay .. Mr Squiggle
So anyone seen any 2019 coins besides the 20c and $1 coins yets? That's all I've seen.
Some 2019 5c pieces have been reported on CCF.
I think I did see some 50c advertised on FB Mr T, but they could have been from RAM swaps I'm not sure.
Not seen any 2019 in Perth at all. Except for the Woolies coins.
Not sure I have even seen the 2018 yet.
I really, really hope that the ''Alphabet'' One Dollar coins from this coin determination
https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2019L00872
are intended as NCLT/NIFC and not put into general circulation.
However, if the RAM choses to put them into actual circulation I truly hope it will be done in substantial numbers and not in the ridiculous low numbers like the Royal Mint did in the UK with the Alphabet 10p coins in 2018 and 2019.
Of course, I am fully aware this is the wrong sub forum if they are NCLT/NIFC coins. :laugh2:
I hope not - it was hard enough getting the full set of Centenary of Federation coins in 2001.
Ralf, There have been Alphabet coin sets in the past, but to my knowledge none of them have been regular circulation coins, so I think you can relax in that regard. :winkextra:

I hope so.
Good to see the Quakka got a gernsey.
X = Xantippe, a town in W.A.
I have never heard of it and I live in W.A. :)
Does this mean that Café - @ the Mint (https://www.ramint.gov.au/cafe-mint) will now have a menu of;
•ESKY with drinks to take away
•ICED VOVOs
•LAMINGTONs
•MEAT PIEs
•Toast with VEGEMITE
•WEET-BIX
•ZOOPER DOOPER iceblocks -choice of eight flavours?
I can't wait to see those coins. I bet a few foodstuff manufacturers will like the advertising.

I hope you are right.
Do we know when these will actually be released? I can see the Currency Determination is dated 21/6/2019 but can't find when they will be released.
Cheers Mike
They have the old "IRB" effigy, so I'm thinking they will be released later this year.
They are definitely NCLT .. It mentions this in the details .....
