I want to send a couple of sets of proof coins that came in the foam to get graded. Anyone done this before
My question(s) is do you break them out of the case or send as is. The reason I ask is if they are left in the plastic slab how are they numbered on the slab. :s
I don't really want to ask the receiver as it fear it would get lost in the interpretation
Any help/advice greatly appreciated

I have done this hundreds of times and breaking them out is the way to go.
Be super careful cracking open the slab and use minimul handling with Clean cotton gloves to put the coins into their saflips to send them away to be graded.
It only takes a minute blemish to get a proof graded harshly so be super careful handing the coins and have a real good look at each coin for defects/marks/blemishes before sending them off as there is nothing as dishartening as having one of your proofs coming back as a 67/68.
Good to see ya posting Troutski! :good:

Thanks for the advice. Will give it a go and see what happens

+1.
Use a hacksaw to cut the plastic just like people do with APCGS slabe and remove carefully
