I have been having a rough time of it lately. Hopefully will be able to make it to the coin show on Saturday or Sunday.

Yes, very sad. I suffer permanently from both in a severe state. Watch out for some of the meds for them as they can have some pretty bad side effects if they don't suit you properly, I had to go through some bad trial and error before I got some that help. Wishing you well with them Sraggdean.

Good advice, you have to see a Dr. to get referral to a Specialist.

I was a Counsellor  for a while back in the 1970's and many these days have Mickey Mouse Qualifications that ,in the Case of Depression, probably do more damage than good with some People, talking about Personal problems with a Stranger looking at his/her watch can create problems not solve them.

Sitting in a Room staring at Coins is probably not ideal, latest Research shows exercise to be of big benefit, hour in a Gym with other people each day, habit of going on a bike ride or running/walking around the Block also seems to help. Older people that have Mobility problems need to just get out of the House each day somehow.

Anyway ATB to you both(& others) but the end game is to find a Dr. that cares about your welfare and get specialist treatment.....All of the above is just my thoughts/opinion on Depression,Good Luck.

Thanks Ausproofs & Basil.

All too true Basil. When I first got it my GP prescribed me one medication that didn't agree with me to say the least.

I've been seeing a Specialist Psychiatrist for around 5 years now. She's been fabulous.

Just wanted to make sure Spraggdean knew he wasn't alone with it and to be wary of the meds. I know that several of our other members suffer also from similar conditions, not sure if the threads were here or on CCF.

my life savers are EFEXOR 150  twice a day , for the last 25 years ,
some time in the middle of all this and up to 20 panic attacks per day
my doctor tried me on LEXAPRO  , the LEXAPRO  put me in the hospital
for 3 weeks in a heart attack ward , before I had the thought it might be the  LEXAPRO
so I got my wife to bring me up my  EFEXOR , I then changed them  unknown to the staff ,
and I was home within the next week .

To all people on the sick list, regardless of what the diagnosis is, hang in there.

There are a lot of people on this forum who care a lot about you even though you may not have met any of your fellows of this forum.

Hang in there one and all.

Yeah I have them both in a permanent state as well. I find it hard to deal with very minor things in life and it wears me down sometimes.
