Thanks so much for posting that Nevol. :good:
We do feed 2 of our 6 dogs raw chicken necks. I'm thinking we might need to cook them from now on eh!
From memory (a quite old one) there was an issue with humans eating beef (or maybe it was lamb) vertebrae? Not sure whether that is true or not though as I only saw it on tele the once.

Yeah, it was concern about ''Mad Cow Disease'' in the early 1990s.
You cannot feed dogs cooked chicken bones as it makes them brittle and sharp. Couldget caught in thier throut or stomach.
We've all heard the saying, 'Don't feed your dog chicken bones!' But really, feeding any cooked bone to your dog is dangerous because cooked bones may splinter and damage the stomach and intestines. Raw bones do not normally splinter. ... Raw beef knuckle bones are also delicious treats.
Too true Barry, we never feed any of them cooked chicken bones. I was hoping that just "nuking" the necks in the microwave for a minute may kill the baddies without making the neck bones brittle.
BBQ chickens are the go with our 2 dogs (but no chicken bones allowed). Just about get mugged as you bring it in the door.
Pedro
:laugh2: .... On ya Pedro, we have to be pretty careful when unloading the weekly shop from the car for that exact reason!
