Hi, can I get some help here if genuine error or just mishap in its journey.
While ago was paid for job with several fifties that were folded in thirds.
Spotted this and held on to it not having much of an idea about these.
Appreciate advise on as to hang on and sell or put back into circulation if possible from scan.

I'm never too sure with ones like these - I don't think there's much blue on ink on $50 notes though so possibly something picked up after production?
In a previous life I was a printer. If you look at the blue smudge, from what I can tell from the image the blue smudge is on top of the black ink. In printing the blue ink goes down before the black ink.
Which if it was a printing error the black ink would be on top of the blue ink.
Post production I'm afraid.
Just my opinion though.

Most likely a moneychangers stamp, definitely NOT an error, but if it needs a label it's closer to PMD.
