Submitted 2 sets of wedding coins for grading and just got the word back
Out of the 12 coins submitted 2 were SP70 and the other 10 were SP69
I'm quite pleased with that:wavemulticolor:

Nice.
PCGS?
Well done Gabby :good:
No it would be NGC kchan as PCGS don't recognise them as being specimen so only attribute them as MS :dash1:
kchan submitted to NGC as ausjack advised. Was advised by more knowledgeable people than me here that that was the better of the 2
I might push my luck now and submit some more
Nicely done Mate :good:
Wich sets did you sen to NGC?

Nice resuts.
Dont be too upset if you get the occasional PL68 grade with the Wedding Set submissions as a PL68 is still an outstanding coin in anyones book.

Thanks mate. I won't.
Things will come to a screaming holt though soon as I'm still after 2010 and 2011 sets - the only 2 sets I haven't got
I didnt bother with any of the sets after 2009 as they are frosted proofs that are No differant than the coins in the regular proof sets.

I want to get them if I can as that would make them complete for me.
Get them all graded regardless and then start on something else.
Hopefully RAM will eventually go back to the original format for these coins and maybe just maybe they will describe them as Specimen coins like they should have done in the first place.
The "Brilliant Uncirculated" description given these coins initially is Horse Puckky and it allowed the coins to be graded as high MS so that dealers/sellers could sell these at a high premium over the reglar coins with buyers thinking that they were outstanding quality circulation issues which they are definatly NOT.
Given the low mintages and superb quality/strike of these coins they Will eventually become highly collectable and valuable in their own right as Specimen coins, Much like the pre decimal proofs are now without the need of the dodgy MS grades.
I imagine that it will be expensive and difficult to get all the wrongly attributed PCGS coins correctly attributed in the future.
At least NGC got it right the first time without stuffing it up like PCGS did:angel::yahoo:
