That really says a lot about the mintage of the Changeover dollar. I've almost given up hope of being able to noodle one, and they're beginning to make the purple $2 coronation coin, the green $2 Remembrance Day coin and the red $2 ANZAC coin look common. Each of them had a mintage of 1-2 million, but what's the mintage of the Changeover dollar? At this stage, it looks absolutely miniscule.

I hear you, I have never seen the $1 changeover coin in circulation maybe the 2016 Changeover RAM mint set will be well sought after now?

I reckon they deliberately made them low mintage so that when people turn over what they suppose to be a regular, non-commemorative coin, they get a big surprise. Every time I get a bunch of coins to noodle, I expect to find the plain 2016 ones in large numbers, but the Changeover ones pop up randomly and unexpectedly. I suppose that's exactly what the mint wanted in the first place. :winkextra:

Went to the Easter show in Sydney today.
No changeover bags nor ANZAC ones :(
They told me about Canberra on the 22nd, however did say that it was only 5's, 20's and 50's.
I'm flat out that weekend, and probably won't be able to sort something out with the family to go down, but will probably to a run by myself down there.
Long way to go for some circulating coins, but I am keen on a bag or ten of the 100 years of ANZAC coins.
