Post by: ausjack on March 13, 2017, 08:29:10 AM
Hey Mark, don't know if this means anything to you but this one was a new one to me, when I clicked on ACF to log in I got this..I clicked back and logged in ok. Just thought I'd let you know and see if anyone else has received anything like it.

Speaking as a total I.T. dunce, my wife is the guru at our abode, but she's out. I keep ACF in favorites so that's where I go each time for access. After reading AJ's post I googled ACF, and when placing the mouse cursor on the listing I got a message from Trend Micro saying the site was untested. Same for the blog site as well.

OK the issue (most likely) is that the page you were looking at included an image that was external to this site that was not linked with HTTPS and used the normal (non SSL) HTTP link.  I am getting a warning on this page along those lines simply because the TINYPIC screenshot you've included isn't using a HTTPS link.  There's some slight risk in those cases that someone could intercept those images and inject information into it or perhaps read unencrypted cookie information that is transmitted back the image hosting site.

Do you know exactly what page you were looking at AJ?

:laugh2: I wish I knew what I was doing auto, at least you can do ebay :(

I can do simple things once someone shows me other wise I'm totally lost

Right down the bottom in the blue band you'll see the "start" thing in the far left corner, click on that and see if you have "snipping tool" and click on that and then off you go, remember to save the pic, sometimes I forget so have to do it again, the beauty of being a sieve :dash1:

Nevol put up a post about tinypic's https://www.australian-coins.net/showthread.php?tid=1760
Have a look around the "Testing and How to" https://www.australian-coins.net/forumdisplay.php?fid=18 as it's a good place to pick up a few handy tips and if something isn't there just ask the question :good:

It means that ^%%^$^&*%*^ so-called geniuses are actually a bunch of morons. Just about EVERY site now does that on my OSX 10.5.8 Chrome, and its gradually getting worse under 10.6 as well. Heck, even GOOGLE now comes up with that! :(

When these dickheads change stuff, they no longer test under anything but the newest versions. And its not something the webmaster can necessarily work around either.

So the answer is, in their view anyway, to stay on the bleeding edge of the rat pack, constantly updating everything, whether you want to or not, even if it breaks other critical systems.

BAH!

Bring back 1992, I say!

:laugh2: ah yes 92 was a good year :winkextra:

Maybe it's because I use windows7 is the problem but it's the only time it's done it to me so I'll have to wait and see what happens but I won't be upgrading everything all the time, if it ain't broke don't fix it :dodgy:

Apple and Microsoft are pretty indistinguishable nowadays. Both have a vested interest in pushing people into their latest offerings, and both are incorporating spyware of various forms which are definitely not in the users' best interests.

Expect things to degrade fairly quickly over the coming years until they force you to move on. Heck, even I'm in the process of making a decision to go with a new MacBook which would come with the latest OSX by default, since I can't repair the trackpad problem that's kneecapped my existing MBP. :(

Oh, what I've been saying about Facebook breaking my browsers?

They just tipped their hand, forcing me to switch to https://m.facebook.com/

Grrrrrrr.......

I believe there's exactly nothing I can do about this if we are to allow hotlinked images from non HTTPS sites.  AJ's browser was warning him of the fact that there was a hotlinked image that was not secure and nothing more.

Given that I cannot follow what you're talking about any more it's clearly gone off topic and I am locking the thread.
