Some sad news for those lucky enough to have known her, and indeed the whole numismatic community, which Betty hugely influenced over her lifetime. She will be missed. :cray:
I just heard the sad news from Paul that Betty Turvey has just passed away at the grand old age of 101.
Her funeral will be held at the Salvation Army church hall, Nelson Road,
Box Hill at 2.00 p.m. this Friday, March 10th
A really remarkable woman who was still competing and winning at our last
Coin show in October 2016.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Alison, Dorothy and all her family.
Great coin collectors do not die.....they just move up to the great coin show in the sky.
RIP Betty.
