Well this year is just about finished with a few of the 2017 coins and sets already available.
What do you think will be on the RAM "Menu" next year?
I predict that there will be yet more War related coins especially the 50c coins, This will probably continue into 2018 as well.
I am thinking maybe a Ford set of coins with the special "Tin" is pretty likely following the success of the Holden coins.
Undoubtedly there will be a least one coloured $2 but another half dozen or so different coloured $2 coins would come as No surprise.
Another Newscorp set of coins is pretty much a "given" as well and As all the different theatres of War have been pretty much covered in the last two lots Maybe service badges and War medals may be this years "Theme" .
That's a few of my thoughts, What are yours?
Can see your predictions coming true.
My prediction and hope is that the 2c for 2017 of the runners up design is expanded to include more of the designs... if they're popular enough on the 2c ... i predict they will follow the money.
Trout,
Have a look at https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2016C01065
Especially Item 36 R26 - we are in for a plethora of coins.
Then of course are all the military medal commemorations previously listed.
There are also some 2017 coins listed in the previous determination as well.

Looking at that it looks like the Newscorp coins are indeed going to be War Medals on the 4x 25c and 10x20c coins listed from #11 to #24. :)
It is interesting to note that the 25c coins will be Copper plated steel and the 20c coins will be very slightly bigger at 28.65mm that our regular 20c at 28.52mm.
It's the modern sovereign's 200th birthday next year - but this is more of an English celebration.
The new English proof 2017 sov is gorgeous.
