I've just posted my latest noodling stats on Coin Community Forum. Rather than duplicate the entire thread, please go to the following link and post your comments either here or on CCF. :)

That is some impressive analysis Hercules! Well done. :good:
Pedro
That is some sort of state collecting and recording.
My stats are recorded only by the quantities by denomination and some individual years.
Not as comprehensive as your figures.
Where do you get $100 notes to go through?
Wow
Great work there! Very fancy indeed.
I hope that you use magnifyer
I used to have a light with a X 5 magnifyer built in. It was an embroidery light. Perfect for noodling pennies. Otte light brand.

I went into the bank, asked for $1000 worth of $100 notes, and walked out. If you do this over and over again, you can build up a reasonable set of stats.

I usually sort them all by year and design, count them, and then go back over them to look for varieties and errors. I usually only use a magnifier if I can't see something clearly with the naked eye, such as the SD on the 5c or the double bars on the 50c.

Serials and condition.
Any note with prefixes AN96 to AZ96, BN-BZ, etc, where the second character is higher than M. Any first prefix, AA, or last prefix (refer to the PDF). RADARs, Repeaters, or other unusual serials. But mainly the test note prefixes above.

Mostly test notes, but very low and very high serial numbers can also be worth a lot. I'd also be inclined to keep a few 1998s because they're hard to come by in circulation, but they usually aren't worth anything more than face value. If you've got any paper notes, they could also be worth something, but I'll need to check Maccas on this one. :good:
I just checked Maccas, and it turns out that first and last prefix 1998 notes, and last prefix 1996 notes are also valuable. Keep an eye out for JK96, AA98 and CF98, in addition to the test note prefixes (AN-AZ 96, BN-BZ 96, CN-CS 96). Happy hunting! :D

Quotenote the number in the bottom $ 20.00 note .
DL 07 888 388, almost a solid Kel.
There might be some Chinese collectors who would be interested in that one.
My niece whose landline Phone No contains 3 x 8's, was once offered some money for the number, but she refused as she'd had
it since the late 60's, and still has it.
I also have a CS 96 TEST NOTE , just cant find it right now .
Nancy , in my younger days I was in a C B CLUB called
bravo / tango C B club , my call sign was
international triple 8

So I shouldn't have handed back 9888 8600 for free then, eh? :dodgy:
I never sell notes on eBay anymore ,
last time I sold a $ 100.00 note I lost because eBay took $ 15.00 out of my $ 150.00 sale price plus buyer paid by PayPal even thou I asked him for direct deposit .

I always use PayPal unless I'm fully convinced I can trust the seller. Otherwise, there's nothing to protect me if the seller doesn't hand over the goods. :)
