Title: Tax return time again
Post by: trout on July 05, 2016, 09:21:15 PM
:yahoo:
It's that time of year again where most of us get some spare cash back from the tax department :yahoo::dance2::dance::dance2:
Which "Bucket List" coin have you got your eye on ?

I don't have "spare" cash but I can't help myself when it comes to buying coins. Since I retired I still put in a tax return but more out of habit than the hope of getting a refund. Also, I don't have a "bucket" list, basically I just have a list. However, a lot of the coins on my list are also for sale as part of the Fenton Collection.

I've never been to Nobles so I might go down to Sydney in a couple of weeks and check it out. While I'm there I will visit Pacific Rim and stick around for the Petersham Town Hall where I normally catch up with belly and the usual suspects.

I have the most vanilla income stream yet somehow always owe the ATO at the end of each FY. I feel both rather annoyed and that I'm missing something. Perhaps I need a new accountant....

That would be a good move as I changed accountants last year and was told by my new accountant that I had been given the wrong information by my old accountant and it could have cost me dearly if or when the ATO finally caught up with me

I neglected to put a tax return in last year because I was only a few weeks out of hospital and had other more important issues to deal with, So this year I get to Double Dip :dance2::)

A Gold Mohur may be on the agenda at last :)

Sorry, yes vanilla = plain. Very boring, insufficient, yet consistently out of balance according to the ATO

Bugger the refund from the tax return, it't the unrefunded portion that matters.
The portion of MY tax that I won't get back would buy a 1930 penny:@
