I have quite a few ice cream tubs full of what I call odds and sods.
these consist of stuff I have bought that I haven't gotten around to putting in albums yet , rolls I have opened and have put the one coin in the album the saflipped the rest and all sorts of other coins that I haven't gotten to sorting out yet.
I get them all out every now and then but just stuff them all back again because it is just too big a job at the time
Is this a normal thing for a collector and does anyone else have this problem?
Yep, especially when you have stamps as well. Big piles of both that are marked for eBay but getting around to listing/ sorting never seems to happen when you work a roster.
Yes. My whole collection is like that. Its why I can never find anything.
Yes normal for collectors

Thankfully I have about 80% of my collections either slabbed or in PP albums.
I still have a few pre decimal Dansco's I haven't sorted out yet and a whole bunch of whitmen albums with the US coins in them that I haven't put into PP albums yet.
The rest of it is just a bloody mess :dash1:

Hey, I have albums too, y'know!
Just makes for bigger chunks to lose. I've got a guy waiting to buy some poppies, and I have a full sack of them that I can't find. :(
What's going on Mate, can't you sleep either ??
I have been up trying to sort out some of the chaos, I don't seem to be making much of a dent though.
Yep for me to.
Perfectly normal trout.
How many others here even have coins taking up most of a whole shelf in their pantry, and the coins have not been touched since they were put there, probably over 10 years ago.
One consolation is that AFAIK they are all Aussie coins.
I just remembered there's another box of coins somewhere waiting to go into the pantry, so that's another thing to add to my to-do list, but it's nearly all Granny Bait and I no longer collect it, so there's no rush.
My OCD wouldn't allow this. :)
All my coins are in 2x2s and filed away in order.
(only exception to this is one box of recent additions,
because I have run out of 2x2s and it really annoys me) :(
Spares are all in bags for each country.
Your OCD is highly commended Steve! :thank_you:
I've got two chances of having my stuff totally organised. Buckley's & None.
Yes. I try and wait for low humidity days to organise things but in Queensland that means a lot of waiting.

Sleep? Wazzat? Life's too short to waste on trivialities.

A 1996 M Parkes in aUNC I pulled out of change
A light strike MoR with hardly any lettering or roo detail
Lots of business cards, notes, bits and pieces
Tissue paper
Orange $2 baggies
A couple handfuls of assorted errors
Keyrings
Pens
half a dozen small stacks of UNC coins
Loupe
small ziplock bags
Dental picks
Oh, and a HO scale model car!
Yeah, yeah, I know. But in my defence, this is a MUCH shorter stack of crap than it was before my last cleanout. I actually had a clean desk for about 3 days! ;)

Don't worry about the rest of that stuff, just give us a picture of the HO. :)
I have about half a dozen coins from circulation that I need to mount and put into albums.

I thought you had a model GTHO. I would have liked the real thing though. Closest I got to it was the XY V8 Fairmont that I had for 19 years.
