Downie's have some beautiful coins on offer in upcoming auction as you all are probably aware. Anyone got there eye on any? I'm thinking about having a crack at 34/35 Florin, I'm sure with no luck.
Couple of interesting items.
I wish they would improve their photos though.
Hard to see the surfaces.

Sort of looks OK.
But its a poor pic for a professional dealer/auction house
Bidders should be aware that its caveat emptor.
There is no right of return if this coin has hairlines or is cleaned.

:i_agree: I can't quite put my finger on it but something doesn't look right.

Looks like someone else has already put their finger on it
I looked at all the Centennials in the Downies, none of them excited me particularly.
They mention with other coins if they have been cleaned, can't see why they would keep this one a secret if it was.

Some of the auction houses mention if coins have been cleaned but not all which makes it difficult to buy online with their poor quality photos. It's a bit of a lottery most of the time
