Hey guys
I found this note a few weeks back, it had a nice series of numbers so I kept it... I have no idea about notes... Is this anything special ?
Serial number is BM 138 38 888
Who's phone number is that?
The number does not seem to meet the usual radar/repeating considerations to be collectable.

What is the condition of the banknote?

It has few fold marks ... Apart from that no other damage to the note
For now its just worth face value, in 20 years you could get more than that.
This is the trouble with notes as they're hard to store for that long and take so long to gain any value so your better off spending unless they're really rare.
If you keep that note for 20 years you will be able to buy about $2 worth of goods with it by then
yes inflation soon takes out any profit you might make  so better to just spend :good:
Okay folks, that is my coffee money ! Gooone..

I agee mate :yahoo:
Just jumping on the end of this thread instead of starting new, he said with a sheepish grin. :) Was rereading a section about the PIL and how it was being fazed out. However towards the latter part of a run on the Coles/Fraser $10 notes, apparently one of the 3 non pil plates was damaged and replaced with a plate from 1990 with a pil [plate identification letter]. Anyway seems I may have one of the culprits. :)

Do plate numbers appear on all denominations and if so, where can one find it?
Thanks In Advance.

I would have made a poor pun about the note being on it's P plates, but ........ooops, did it anyway.
Yep actually saw that one coming :)
