Title: Coloured AFL/NRL Coins From Ballot
Post by: Goldseeker on December 21, 2015, 10:15:33 PM
I have b een keeping an eye on ebay re these coins and I can't believe one of the AFL Coins went on one bid for $999.00.

The buyer has "0" feedback so could this be a shill bid or what?

There are several others of the AFL/NRL Limited edition coloured $1 coins from the ballot that have a couple of bids so the value could be quite high.

With only 500 supposedly minted, maybe the $999.00 could be a genuine sale.   If it is, then would it not set the benchmark for other coins in this limited edition pair?

By and by, did anyone else get the coins from the ballot?

Does anyone know of a Gold Plated one being found? Or even sold? Any idea's on the price of one of them?
The coloured ones seem to be around the $300 mark at the moment, That is afl anyway.

Yeah, There is a NRL Coloured on the ebay for $250.
There was 5000 nrl coins and 5000 afl coins. Out of each there is 4433 plain silver coins, they go for $25 - $30 each, big drop from $120.
500 coloured which go $250 - $300 and 67 Gold Plated which only seen NRL buy it now for $1500 and there is one on auction at the moment. There are some other things like gold Cards etc...
here is some links.

ive been super busy with life over the last few months (mainly outdoor rock climbing - Trying to find myself - and the buzz) and just started cataloguing again etc... and just found the set up of this coin release really interesting. Similar to an idea I have, maybe Ill try it in the near future but its the competition type of "law" or "rules" I have to look into first.
Good to hear from you by the way:good:

:agreed:
The people at RAM would know exactly which coins are which so there isn't much of an element of "Chance" with these, as stated on the RAM website they are "Allocated".
I wonder how many of their regular cronies get "Lucky" with these :dodgy:

Im sure there will be. Now im compelled to do the math.
Scenario 1-
Buy 70 coins and you should ??? get a gold one.
Cost will be $8,400 and 1 in 10 will be coloured and for resale they are sitting around 200 each = $1,400.
That leaves 59 silver coins that struggle to resell for $30 which would be $1770.
The gold "plated" silver coin sounds kinda expensive now.
Im out!! LOL
Scenario 2 -
Buy 1 coin for $120 and by pure bloody magic you get a gold "Plated" coin.
Scenario 3 -
Buy 1 off someone who has one for sale
Scenario 4 -
Walk away
This was all just for fun. I like the slogan "Buy what gives you enjoyment"!!

Has anyone got an image of the special cards version? I've seen the gold plated, coloured, and foil maxicard but not the special card pack.

Thank you in advance.

Had a run through on eBay yesterday but could only find the regular cards. When it says Signature Cards are these cards with a blank space to be signed by the player (by the person buying the card)? Or are they actually pre-signed? Or a buzz word for a premium effect on the card like foil?

Signature Cards I really can't comment because I haven't bought either of these sets
