drop the size down to 600x600 and it will work just fine :good:
Fake
Hope it didn't cost you much
Can you please tell me the telling points that it is fake, Thanks
If this is fake, how long have they been around? I found this in my Fathers belongings and he must of had it for a while.
Fake coins of this type have been around for a long time
The coins wear pattern and toning don't look right and the strike is too mushy. What does it weight? Pics on scales would be great

Host the image elsewhere and link to it using IMG and /IMG tags, same as HTML, but with [] brackets instead of <>.
Oh, and here's a bunch of images of real ones:

I found many (7) errors on the posted (Fake) coin according to the pictures in the U S Red Book.
Sadly I agree that this is a counterfeit coin.
Your father wasn't the first to be fooled by this and I doubt that he will be the last either.
The Classic American coins are heavily counterfeited along with other rare and elusive coins.
The Chinese are blamed for making these but I suspect they are made in the USA as well.
Not only are the people that manufacture these a curse to the collecting community , The people that knowingly distribute these (Normally on eBay) are as bad if not worse :dodgy:
