Just a bit of trivia from Sky News page. Saw this used as a headliner image for a story on insurance, and thought it interesting they chose this particular coin, probably just a generic they had on file. Never did find out if there was a connection with the story because I didn't read on :blush:, none I suspect, but not too many 1977 COA 50 cents about, I wouldn't think.

Yes, Ian McConnelly discusses them on page 80 of his Errors book along with referencing a CAB article from June 2003.

I'm pretty sure our good mate Shane from CCF bought one at one stage.

I only saw a glimpse on NBN news of the rare coins & some notes but if anyone knows of collectors/dealers in the Northern NSW or SE Qld. area that have had items stolen in the last 12 Months or so tell them to contact Lismore Police.
