Ebay item number :
121806263362
Item title:
"2012 50 cent coat of arms Rotated Die At 7 O'Clock Minting Error rare"
----
This is just a normal coin put into the 2x2 at an angle.
Normally a rotated coin will be packaged so that one side is vertical and only 1 side will be at an angle.
Amazing!
Both faces have the same amount of rotation error. :laughingneqw:
Hmmm ....
Struggling with the comparison to the 2001 $1 "clock".
Pedro
I see that he has included two scans of my clockface of 2001 COF Upsets. Where oh where did he get those scans from I wonder?
I have asked that very question of him.

I do not follow how "where they came from" matters?

Perhaps because people who do dodgy things are usually dodgy people?
"Would you buy a used car from this man?"
Oh no......
It has sold - so someone had been ripped off.
I had been thinking about not making my post about this item as most people would spot it.
I guess I will keep posting things like this as it might help someone.

Well for a start they are my scans.
I have not given permission to this person to use MY SCANS.
Further, they were removed from a Rennicks ERROR CATALOGUE which I believe is COPYRIGHT.
So it does matter "where they came from" as far as I am concerned.
I watermark all my images in my eBay listings. I was sick of seeing them appear on other peoples listings.
When I sometimes asked if the items pictured were the actual items for sale then answer was always affirmative -a good indicator of a dodgy seller.
Reporting them to eBay was a waste of time. Never even a response, let alone any action.

I guess my confusion stemmed from you asking "where" but at the same time appearing to know exactly where they came from.
Clearly your issue was not about "where" so much as "He is using my copyright material without permission".
I am guessing I will spot similar use of your images in the future and I am happy to point them out for you.
This wont change dodgy use of things you have created, but I think you should be proud of the quality of the items and information you have put together.
Too many dodgey pricks on greedBay at the moment
I am so pissed off that reporting items or sellers is difficult and nothing happens anyway.
I have to admit it's been a while since I reported anything on eBay, but used to have some success when I was doing it.
The main thing is to use the correct process, as one way is totally useless, but this link: http://www.ebay.com/ccw is by far the best and I actually got feedback from Ebay sometimes.
I saw the above link in a post by Bobby on CCF that stated "You must use this link", so I started using it and found the items nearly always disappeared pretty darn quick.
The standard reporting process (when I have tried using it) was complete rubbish.
It felt like it was designed to NOT let you report valid complaints as the did not fit into the framework of what you were allowed to report..

I appreciate that ozcoins and I do intend to follow this up with Ebay shortly.

Thanks Nevol :wavemulticolor:
This ebayer seems to have been frustrated with the Ebay reporting process and has taken matters into his own hands.

All it takes is one p!ssed off copyright owner of an image to get a judgement in any court anywhere in the world against fleabay for their permitting by inaction a dodgy seller breeching copyright. Then sleezebay will have to take action to avoid an avalanche of similar lawsuits (or worse yet a class action lawsuit).
Alternatively just put a high bid on the dodgy lot (where the seller is using an image of a coin you own), then when you win you don't have to pay for a coin you already own and if they try to negative feedback you just let feepay know to remove the neg' as the entire sale was fraudulent to begin with.

Disgusting how eBay makes it hard for members to report known fraudulent sellers and listings

That sellers address is Villawood. Villawood is the location of a complex of detention centres where they put the most troublesome of illegals. Coincidence?
