Title: Thanks AustPost
Post by: Goldseeker on October 28, 2015, 11:43:41 AM
I am making a note here to thank AustPost for making me make a final decision not to continue to purchase any further PNC's which includes any Limited Edition PNC's.

Having just received the latest "Celebrating The Moment & Preserving The Past" catalogue, I calculate that just to keep up with the PNC's in this catalogue would cost just short of $1,000.00.

This is a cost I can longer put up with.

As such, I shall be notifying AustPost Philatellic that I do not want to receive any further PNC's from this date on.

It is a difficult decision for me to make but I am now going to downsize my collection.

I only dipped my toes into PNC's a few years ago and it didn't take me long to decide they were not for me.

me too
I have quite a few that are rarely pulled out to appreciate and they take up a lot of room per piece!

although Goldie - the RAM isn't too far behind - they seem to have some new issue or variation every week - it is almost at the point of being ridiculous

I still buy PNCs but only those ones that I like or have some significance for me (eg sports theme). I agree that there are far too many PNC releases each year now and storage is an issue. Release prices aren't going down (unsurprisingly) either!

From what I've seen, most of the PNCs will probably sell for less a few years down the track, so buy them then.

I shall list all mine including the Limited Editions /Rarities and flog them all off over time.

I feel like selling them as one collection as well as the medallion issues.

Sorry to hear this Bruce it is sad when you loose interest because of over supply.
The same thing happened to me when they brought out those ABC coins,
They were the last straw for Me.

It was that catalogue that made my mind up not to collect these things any more.

$1,000 to keep the collection up to date broke my back and I said "no more".
