This is from my $1 Rim Cud Spreadsheet. Sorry the columns don't quite line up, but hopefully you'll be able to follow them. A number in brackets at the end of a line is how many of that coin I have, if no number in brackets, then the number is 1. SC means Same Coin
If my sheet is free of errors, then I have 64 Coins, with 5 of them having 2 Cuds, 4 have both on the same side, 1 has 1 on each side. Clear as mud eh?

Just where all these coins are at present is a total mystery to me, but I may have given some away over the years.
QuoteI may have given some away over the years.
Feel free to put me on your give away list. :good:
Never know your luck if I ever find them.
Wow, that is an impressive list, Nancy! :good:
Pedro
I had a bit of a hunt and did come up with some, but it's not the ones I was looking for. I will have to add these to my list:
$1 2001 CoF Rev Rim Cud
(http://www.australian-coins.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10007/_1_2001_CoF_Rev_Rim_Cud_Duo.jpg)
$1 2001 IYoV Rev 2 x Rim Cuds
(http://www.australian-coins.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10007/_1_2001_IYoV_Rev_2_x_Rim_Cuds_Duo.jpg)
$1 2005 MoR Obv Rim Cud

$1 2005 WWII Obv Rim Cud

$1 2007 APEC Rev Rim Cud

$1 2008 Scout Obv Rim Cud
(http://www.australian-coins.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10007/_1_2008_Scout_Obv_Rim_Cud_Duo.jpg)
I also found 17 X $2 Rim Cud coins and I already have a list of 48 of them.
Gee now I'll have to sort all my coins to see if I have anything that's not on your list..and nice pic's as usual Nancy :winkextra:

I don't think this is a rim cud, as such. It looks more like an extension of metal forced out between the dies.
Speaking of which, what do we make of the many variations on that theme? Split rims, raised edges and the like? I'm torm between keeping them and throwing them back in the pond. :/
Oh, and about that double-sided rim cud... it it the one cud that extends through the coin, or two separate cuds in different locations?
And if its the one cud, what does the edge of the coin look like? Is there a bulge, making the coin not round?

I've been using Nevol's list (http://www.australian-coins.net/showthread.php?tid=680) from back some time ago for ages. (The list is embedded about 3/4's down the first post).
The only additional one that came to mind was the Scouts one that is covered by Nevol's extra post above. (Which from memory I think Kel initially posted about).

It's 2 separate cuds in different locations.
This is from my spreadsheet:
2001 CoF Obv 11.30 12.00
2001 CoF Rev 10.30 11.00
$2 coins also have some with 2 cuds on the same side.

that is true uni , I still have my 2 put away safely .
also does anybody on the forum know anything about online punting on the pokies ?
No I don't sorry Kel.
I don't think I can add any more, didn't really look at MOR's but know I have a 2005 and at a very rough search this is my list and probably have more knowing me.
1999 YoOP 10o'c revese
2001 YoVol around 9o'c x 8 rev
2001 YoVol double 7 and 9o'c x 2 rev
2001 CoF not quite 9o'c x2 rev
2001 CoF 5o'c obverse
2002 YoOut not quite 9o'c x 3 rev
Yes pretty sad compared to Nancy's :winkextra:
I have just sorted out all my $1 error coins for duplicates and found quite a few variations of size/position of rim cuds for some coins. So, here are five different 2001 Centenary of Federation cuds.
If you have any different to these a picture would be appreciated.
Jeff
Others to come later -takes some time to do a composite picture like this.

Without digging all mine out, this is a list I compiled in 2008. I think I may have traded some of these, but can't remember for sure. The top 2 are on the same coin.
2001Cof Rev 10.30 11.00
2001Cof Obv 11.30 12.00
2001Cof Obv 5.00 6.30
2001Cof Rev 4.00 4.30
2001Cof Rev 4.00 5.00
2001Cof Rev 7.15 8.00
2001Cof Rev 8.00 9.00
2001Cof Rev 9.00 9.30
2001Cof Rev 9.30 11.00
Looks like I should anticipate the possibility of finding a few more different ones. I have yet to come across a CoF obverse cud.
And three different 2001 Volunteers reverse rim cuds. I thought I had another similar, but slightly different, to the centre one (about the same as the lower cud on the twin cud one) -not sure what I did with it.

This is a list of the rest of my $1 Rim Cud coins. It should be pretty much up to date, last modified Sep 20, 2015 and I doubt that I've found any since then.

Fantastic pic's Jeff :good:
Well, quite a few on Nancy's list I don't have. Can only look forward to finding some of them.
Conversely, I have some that I can't see on Nancy's list. So a few that Nancy might need.
You're going well Jeff!
Nancy has the Peace & Scouting ones pictured back on the previous page. (Which she was yet to add to her comprehensive list).
Must see if that 2008 MOR has been spotted before. Something's floating around in the back of my mind on that one.

:dodgy: yeah yeah pull the other one Uni :laugh2:
:laugh2: .... I kid you not AJ (would I lie to you ) .... there must have been a reason at the time that I didn't post it .... goodness knows why, must have been a lot going on .... anyhow this is mine that I sold back in August 2014.

Just check the ebay thread for back then and I'd only put up a link rather than pics .....
Quote from: 'Unicorn' pid='57731' dateline='1408713333'100 different $1 errors  ..... some ending this Sunday the others next weekend ...... several are the first ones of their type that I've seen
Drat! Trumped again. I should have called "misère" or even thrown in my hand. My wild card 2008 MoR let me down.
I just looked through the lists, with mine laid out in order, so I missed the mentions of two others that may have not made it to the lists.
:laugh2: .... On ya Jeff .... the credit for first post on the 2008 is yours! (I was obviously snowed under at the time).

Yeah right Uni, you were just holding out on me AGAIN, as usual :dodgy: :laugh2:
:mocking: .... I'm still getting over the 2012 bubble!!! Talk about holding out.
:laugh2: good point but I did let you know and it wasn't years and years later, like nearly ten :winkextra:
Too true AJ ...... I must check my others to make sure that it shan't happen again :laugh2:
In saying that they must be reasonably hard to come by as Jeff's is only the second I've seen.
One final composite series -2002 Outback. [Gee, I must do something about that green. Amazing how it shows up so clearly in a big enlargement.]

Great pics Jeff!
I am getting the hang of the third party software for my scanner now. The Canon software is crap.
Keep going with all these different cuds and you'll have to try and make a clock :)

What's the TP software called Jeff?
QuoteWhat's the TP software called Jeff?
VueScan Scanner Software (https://www.hamrick.com/)
When I first tried it my Canon MX926 was producing scrambled scans. I contacted Ed Hamrick, the developer, who asked for some sample scans. He sent fixed upgrade within the day.
My purchase allows me to use it on both my scanners and there are regular updates (no charge).
It also has the benefit of not recognising the EURion Constellation so no problem scanning newer banknotes. Also scans to a PDF file and that can be multiple pages.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff. Mine is a Canon LiDE700F which is meant to do 9600 x 9600 dpi which is why I bought it. So far I'm stuffed if I can work out how to make it scan at that resolution.
Well give VueScan a go -free to try. If you like it then you can consider one of the paid versions. Same download file for any version from free to pro and you just enter the numbers from the receipt next time you open it.
9600x9600 is seriously high resolution. Mine is 2400x4800 and my old scanner (that I hardly ever use now) would certainly be less.
Thanks heaps Jeff.
When I bought it I purely had very very high definition scans for errors in mind so hopefully I can get it up to it's "supposed" specifications.
