There seems to be a heap of 1966 uncirculated sets being sold in Proof cases of late:dodgy:
How's this for a couple of listings;
First one is for a set of uncirculated coins in the Proof box
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RARE-1966-Australia-full-set-of-6-UNC-Decimal-coins-in-Proof-case-/261938063468?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3cfcb9a86c
the second listing is probably where the uncirculated coins were sourced from and a set of circulated coins are added to the Mint set wallet.

Obviously this seller thinks he can fetch more with this 'Mix-n-Match' tactic.
I wonder what he does with the proof coins?
Dealers were doing it in the 1970's,"Uncirculated 1966 Set in RAM Case/Box" ,urban myth had both Proof & normal strikes being released by the mint in the blue boxes.
I don't know what they did with the Proofs in those days but of course now they head to the slabbing factory to obtain a premium for each coin.
He he, now I know what to do with my proof box :D
