Previous years the set has had a cardboard folder to record birth and family details. Not this year, looking at the picture on RAM website.
has anyone bought one?
Are you sure that you don't have the Mint Sets muddled up with Proof Sets. All the baby mint sets I have bought are in a cardboard outer and inner packaging.
The Mint Sets come in an cardboard outer where one can put details of the newborn.
The proof sets come in much sturdier packaging and it contains a medallion where one can engrave the details of the newborn.
I was looking at the 2015 proof set on RAM website https://eshop.ramint.gov.au/Coin-Sets/8.aspx but there is no card or medallion that can be engraved.
2014 proof has a card (no medallion). The card is strapped to the lid of the box with a rubber strap.
2014 mint (circulated) set has a card and a medallion.
2013 proof has a card (no medallion). The card is strapped to the lid of the box with a rubber strap.
2013 mint (circulated) set has a card and a medallion.
I wonder if they just left it out of the photo or is it perhaps part of the Alphabet baby proof set?
your lucky I still had my pictures on facebook, god I hate trawling thru the history in that

The proofs could be customised with the medallion of choice I recollect
I think the baby proof and wedding set for 2015 is the only way to get a COA 50c Proof.
The mint and Standard proof set has the Honeycomb coin in them

Looks like the Baby set has got the Guernsey then :ok:
Wedding sets were great specimen sets until RAM fiddled with it and made them Proof Sets

I heard a rumour that RAM are thinking of bringing back the original format for the Wedding sets.
I do hope that the rumour turns into reality because the 2002-2009 sets were exquisitely made.
A Divorce set would be more relevant than a Wedding Set in this day and age

Great idea maybe if they made snap apart wedding sets. His and her sides. If they were in gold, i'd take the side with the fifty cents. Ha ha
Gives new meaning to a 50/50 split.!!
I have the 2015 proof baby set, it comes with a fold out card held in the lid for all the baby related details to be recorded. Also the 50c is regular shield and roo/emu.
The Baby Sets always have the normal circulating type coins which is what annual generic mint and proof sets have departed from.
Its a rip off when Baby Sets are sold for a premium over the generic ones
