Post by: qman69 on June 09, 2015, 09:54:22 PM
Just bought a kilo of pre-decimal pre1946 3p & 6p coins. Might start a collection with the better ones :D

Sorted, am I missing a lot?

3p:
1910-12,14,17-19,21-22,24,27,35-36,38-44

6p:
1910-12,14,16-28,36,38-45

Also some non 0.925 ones snuck in...bah!

1913 Ceylon 10cent (0.800)
1924 ZAR 2 1/2 Shilling (0.800)
1924 ZAR Florin (0.800)
1926 ZAR Florin (0.800)
1932 ZAR 6p (0.800)
1939 Nederlands 10cent (0.640)
1952 AUS Shilling (0.500)

probably about $5 worth of silver i lost out on. Can't really be bothered going back to the guy... :dodgy:

Not too many missing and a fantastic start into pre decimal silvers.
Don't be too upset about the ZAR coins they may be the pick of the litter :ok:

Yeah, suprisingly there are some in the G to F category as per here (http://www.anda.com.au/documents/resource/00114_Pt%202%20-%20Grading%20Commonwealth%20coins.pdf). Most are below G and only worth bullion value..

Found 3 Queen Victoria "Widow Head" 3p pieces amazingly.. haha
