Nice ones Trout.
Gee there's a lot going on with the halfpenny! Is that lamination over on the ET of ElizabETh, or is it the shadow of the die crack(s).
sweet

It's still got me stuffed, but I'm leaning towards it being a very high die crack and hence casting a shadow. :scratch_one-s_head:
Definitely a large die crack, Here is an image from a different angle :ok:

Also from the "H" to the denticals in HALFPENNY on the reverse

Gee it's a beaut Trout. I really love how the cracks ride along the top of the letters themselves. Had it seen much circulation then they probably would have been flattened.
I'm going to have to dig out my 1960 1/2ds now!
That Die Crack on the 1960 ½d obv looks like it had the potential to develop into a big cud covering the tops of the letters. Unless someone here has one, we'll probably never know if it happened. Great error trout! :yahoo:
There is a lot going on with the obverse of this coin.
The reverse is perfect.

post note
I'm buggered if I know how you do this sort of thing all the time Nancy.
Quite a bit of effort doing this
gee mate ya doin ok for some one who doesn't collect error :winkextra:
Is there one on the reverse going from the rim to the bottom right corner of the H then across through the top of the A towards 1960?
Good eyes Uni, there is a very small one there :good:

:laugh2: ...... New reading glasses! (Or should I say glass?) They're so hard to get used to as I have to get my head about 1 foot from the screen to be able to see it. I had the old ones held together with a lump of quicksteel/dynasteel while these ones were getting made up.
hehe
I get 2 pairs at a time because I am so hard on them :ok:

All it takes is plenty of practice, and I do plenty of that. :winkextra:

Cool Trout .... a matching pair!
Is that the Queen's chin die clashing on both reverses?
I'm partial to the offset coins and every now and then will put a bid in although haven't
won any for a while as they can be quite popular
