Title: Minting at non Canberra mints.
Post by: Triggersmob on May 26, 2015, 08:52:41 PM
A friend of mine just asked me why some of the early 80's coins were minted in Perth and Wales. I haven't any idea. Can someone enlighten me. Cheers.

There was a strike at the RAMINT that meant coins were minted elsewhere including Canada - (3 1/2 claw 20 cent).

Production gets farmed out when there are capacity problems. Like when we switched to decimal, when there's a strike, when Lizzy finally falls off the perch.. ;)
