It's in my book under "Commemoratives that circulated" page 141, 2014, 21st edition.
Very common coin and only worth face value in any sort of circulated condition. Maybe $2 for UNC.

I agree with Jeff. Very common coin, even in high grades. They are also prone to lots of errors like doubling etc, but as they are common these also aren't worth much.

Except for the Emu tail crack, of course. ;)

Hey check out the same page, 141, go up the page and where it is spose to say 2000 Royal Visit, they've put 2001 Centenary of Federation lol..
Hmmm,,,I have a few of the Emu tail crack, but only one of the D.Ck from the ribbon running through the right side of the 5 so not sure if either would be classed as common.

New one on me.. not one of the 25 or so different errors I found.

Thanks! That's a lovely '5' crack... I want one! :)
What, no RooZilla? Shame on you. ;)
Oh, and you should rearrange the tail cracks to show the progression. Got any more to add?
I deliberately left the Roozillas out, everyone should know what they look like. I think the 6 Emu Tail cracks are all I have. Well, all I could locate anyway.
gosh Nevol you are an errors living treasures expert!!
always impressed with how you just rattle them off and then post the pic to prove it!!
excellent

:thank_you: A lot of the time I have old piccies from when I used to post on ACBO, so the piccie already exists. I just have to get it into the forum Gallery and then post the link.
But....sometimes I get bogged down as I might have taken 10 or more images and without the coin in hand (usually the case), have to figure out which is the best. I'm currently working on 2001 coins, but progress is extremely slow. Plus, a lot of my older images are scans, and I hate using them as they are not much chop. :winkextra:
good on you Nevol
you have a good eye for errors
A 2001 50c error I haven't come across before:

Pedro
Wow, that's a new one to me also. :good:
Fancy that, I had no idea that the Roo's umbilical cord exited on the neck. :haha:
Nancy, I think the roo might be a mutant!
With amount of doubling on these coins I'm surprised something like this error doesn't occur more frequently.
Pedro
Nice one Pedro!
It's certainly a newie to me too!
