Title: Clive Palmer coin
Post by: JeffH on March 26, 2015, 06:11:57 AM
Has anyone here actually seen one of these Clive Palmer "Coins" (https://www.facebook.com/theprojecttv/posts/10152532028298441)?
Is it true he also gave similar ones to employees at Coolum Resort, featuring a dinosaur on the reverse?

Thanks for this Jeff, interesting piece. I wonder how many ended up back in the furnaces? :-)

Well, there were people on Farcebook and Gumtree offering from $60 to $80 each for them! Why? I don't know.

Clive does own a nickel refining company so would be easy for some of the employees to return them from whence they came.

I know you need a healthy ego to get anywhere in politics but, this exercise suggests Clive's ego is stronger than many.

I would use that coin to see how far I could skim it across an ocean and then watch it/him sink.

It would probably float, he's a slippery customer.
