was the 2014 green ring $2 in general circulation? I thought it was only soled UNC for collectors but a friend of mine got one from a shop. (not 2015 as the tile say)

The 2014 Remembrance green $2 was issued into circulation, people are finding bags and rolls at the banks and the RAM sold rolls to dealers. The C mintmark is/was available in collector packaging.
Yes! It was distributed in my woods (n-w Melbourne) around the beginning of January 2015.
just opened a roll of these and from this small sample getting a MS66 or better coin is going to be very tough like feathers said.
Only one coin in the roll is worth slabbing :ok:

looks like your roll is the same as mine, missing letter and bag marks like you wouldn't believe.

Was in a bar in Northcote the other night and the barmaid opened a bag right there in front of me to give me some change. Not only did I get a great cocktail she also let me swap $20 bill for ten of the lovely green gems! Will try to remember to post photos later.

do the banks have rolls of these coins? I got 2 from dealers but I just bought a roll and then I noticed that it only has the numbers 50 down the side , not the two dollars.
reckon it would be a complete roll of that green $2 coin? if it's risky I will cancel the sale
would appreciate advise cheers

I checked my rolls that I received from the dealer and they have "Two Dollars" written on them and not the $50 as you describe. It is possible that some were rolled outside the mint, they were a circulated coin and bags of them were distributed also. I guess if a supplier rolled some instead of bagging them then that's how there are the ones you describe.
I have just looked on eBay and seen at least 3 different types of rolls. There are also a few people selling the rolls with $50 on them and they are all different sellers. That could indicate that they are genuine?

yes, I think it might also be like the red $2 rolls- the banks got them and people sell those rolls too - straight from the sealed bags of the rolls
