Post by: 5 rubles on January 26, 2015, 04:19:08 PM
Hi all, what is the left signature on this note? the right side is clearly John Stone but the first does not seem anything I can find in catalogues.(http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq296/hannu2009/DSC02647_zps090c261e.jpg)

Hi there, there are only 2 possibilities with the Stone signature, Knight and Stone or Johnston and Stone. if you have the McDonalds catalogue you will see a section on banknote signatures, on page 446 in the 21st edition,  If you look at the previous Knight and Wheeler note you will see that the knight signature is a match. So the short answer is Knight

Ok, just check out the start of the banknote section, it should be the first page or around the front. Flick through and you will find it.
