Title: Cuds Galore
Post by: Triggersmob on January 24, 2015, 02:27:54 PM
I don't think I've seen this many cuds on a coin before.

and this one has a filled date. (Almost sounds painful :) )

Obviously the Turkey State Mint is determined to get their money's worth from working dies.

Couple of nice cuds there Jeff.
I have never really noticed cuds on Turkish coins before, so
I think I might have to start checking them more closely. :)

I posted the pics in a group chat we've had on FailBook for the past couple months, with Linda (who seldom seems to log in here, sadly) and Eki (the Turkish guy we saved from probable death last year). Here's a snippet of the convo:

I might just have to edumacate Eki and get him noodling, eh?
Wonder what the market is like for errors inside Turkey?

Linda
Definitely

I'm DEFINITELY going to try and push him towards coins, even if we have to get any finds sent over here. Though surely there must be local collectors? His situation has improved dramatically since we started helping him, but he's certainly not on easy street, and maybe this might be another string to his bow, to supplement the cryptocurrency and fiat earnings.

Meanwhile, Linda just posted this pic of a little of her handiwork with her cutting machine:

Heading over there shortly, and I may have to nick it while she's not looking. ;)
