I got home tonight and checked my Mail and have two parcels that simply don't add up.
One is from Drake Stirling with a 1957 Proof Shilling PR64 PCGS in it ?
The other has two coins in it , a 1965 PL66 PCGS NZ sixpence and a Canadian 1972 Dollar graded at SP66 by ICCS From Greenacres in SA.
ALL 3 coins are absolutely Bloody stunning and it is going to break my heart to send them back as I have a return address, But return them I must as I cannot for the life of me remember buying them :cray:
Anyone else had to face this dilemma ?
You should contact the senders before sending them back. Perhaps they were meant as gifts from someone you haven't yet heard from. It's not likely someone would send such coins to you without reason unless there is some mistake.

I didn't think about that, but who would send a miserable old Fart like me such nice coins?
I'm kinda going with the wrong address scenario :ok:
It would be an incredible coincidence to have two wrong addresses. Are you a customer of these places?
Didn't you put your hand up for some of Mark's offerings in Buy & Sell?
Surely the coins have been paid for. The identity of that person or persons might jog your memory.

New Zealand 1965 Sixpence PCGS PL66 $25 Out of one of the 1965 PL sets. Those lines on the obverse are die polish. Image

Thanks mark.
I love the toning on the reverse of the Canadian Dollar and the way the proof NZ sixpence is struck without the frosting like the pre decimal proofs.:yahoo:
I have a "Sneaky" suspicion where the proof shilling came from as well, I will make a call and find out :ok:
All is good the mystery has been solved :yahoo::)
A mix of old fart memory loss and totally unselfish generosity is the reason for these packages.:wavemulticolor:
Some quick "Snaps" of the coins in question :)
This is why it would of been "Heart Breaking" for Me to have had to return these coins .
Coins from Markin :good:
1972 Canadian Dollar, ICCS SP-65
