Hi :)
Im new to forum and also only recently started seriously collecting coins!
I really liked collecting circulated Australian 50c, and i wanted to take my collection to the next level with UNC 50c!
During my quest to collect all the different 50c designs, Ive never come across any images of all the different 50c coins together that i could use as reference / guide.
So i decided to make one! And would really like to share it with the coin collecting community! This is the image of all the different 50c designs that im assuming exists.

Doesnt include error coins / gold coins / round coin
Would like to know what you think, or whether i missed something?! 0.0
Welcome to the Forum, & if that's going to be the quality of future post's you will be a asset to one & all.
Good job.
Great work!
Welcome to the forum ArmarageX!
Are you any relation to Malcolm?
There is the incuse millennium and the wide date family. Besides gold coins there are also NCLT silver.
Also welcome:wavemulticolor:
:good:
Looks good and welcome to the forum.
Hi ArmarageX,
A great post and you have pretty well nailed it with those images.
HOWEVER, you have crossed the line with many of those coins being Non-circulating.
That is NCLT.
Consequently, having crossed the line of circulating versus non-circulating, you will now have to look at all the other NCLT coins that have been produced by Perth Mint as well.
There are plenty of them, including Lunar, Koala Bear, Kangaroo, bullion designs and various commemoratives, starting back in 1999 with the 1/2oz Year of the Rabbit coins.
So more correctly, you current list is the Royal Australian Mint images only, both circulating and non-circulating.
There is also one missing from the list, which few are aware of and that is the 2012 Gold and Silver 50cents Acacia coin which was part of the triple country UK/Canada/Australia Queen Diamond anniversary set produced by RAM.
see: http://www.ramint.gov.au/designs/purchase/downloads/mintissue92.pdf pages 6 and 7
Keep up the good work - there is still enormous enjoyment in collecting Australia's largest coin commemoratives!
Cheers

5th row, first from the left?
Very nice presentation.
Hi ArmarageX, Very informative without too many words, love it. Just wondering why you didn't use a round coin for the 1966 image?
great job there
and welcome to the forum
although, the rennicks coin values reference book - it has a few pages with pics of the commemorative 50c - have you ever seen that?
ps
I guess that the quest now is to put the set together
I completed the scholastic 50c folder years ago and that took long enough!! ha ha
Kchan111,
Well spotted - you are correct of course - my mistake!
Cheers

Good compilation
Just noticed that the Boer War and Cocos Island descriptors are on each other's image.
Welcome ArmarageX, Great work on putting the that collection together, I didn't know there was the other 2012 diamond jubilee above the 000 emergency service coin. I think the next step would put all varieties in there aswell as some of the 50's are coloured and gold plated. also others come in silver from sets and individually. Oh and ofcourse all the coat of arms years. You have done a great job and welcome to coin collecting. You have just made me realise I have a few holes in my database. You can check out my search function if you like. it may help you one day. http://oldcoinchest.com/search go here and under "Sub Category" select (50 cent non-circulated) and then click on "Type" and it will bring up the relative coins which you seem to have covered. Same deal for (50 cent) a bit down the page, click "Type" and select generic coat of arms, then click "Years" and it will have all the circulated years there. Confused? I am. Its helpful sometimes. Hope your are enjoying your new hobby

Very cool, Thanks a lot, I was going to ask if you have got a blog on this coin and then i thought..:dodgy:. 'what a silly question' . I was able to find it. http://www.australian-threepence.com/blog/2012/07/australian-50c-coins-2012-the-queens-diamond-jubilee.html
I am looking forward to see the 2015 50.50 Two Coin Set that has been put back for release until the 16th I think. I read this.
"The included 1966 50c Circulating Coin is an original and one of Australia's first coins introduced after decimalisation on 14 February 1966. It carries its own unique memories, as it has been handled, spent and circulated. just wondering what sort of condition the 1966 will be in.
Will it be any better than any of the ones I have, or am I just paying $50 for a 2015 proof with a "C" mintmark?
There is a mintage of 5,000 on this so I wonder how many of the 1966 originals they had held in stock. The one the mint has in the photo is of course uncirculated & not a mark on it.
Just have to wait & see, will it be worth sending off to be slabbed?
your just paying for the proof C MM 50c
Whatever it is - no doubt it will carry a healthy profit margin for RAM. ;)

Maybe some? I could be wrong but I thought not all of the original mintage ended up getting released.
Received the 50/50 cents 50th Anniversary coins today,
Must say I'm impressed the packaging is excellent, the 1966 50 cent is AUnc very good condition surprised actually comes with a brief history of events & coins.
Must say I'm impressed.
Good feedback interest
Impressed with a bit of RAM product. Now THAT is saying something.
I can't comment on the coins yet as I have yet to receive mine.
I finally bought my 50c collection up to date today with the addition of the elusive 2002 Queens accession PNC. I am happy but my wife still has that confused look on her face trying to comprehend it all...
