looks like one of the fake silver plated bars you get on ebay. in other words junk
eg

Junk yes, but the seller is up front about what he's selling.  He's not trying to deceive anyone.

Could it be one of the Franklin Mint or similar Silver Ingot Notes that they have produced as "granny bait"?

Nah. The Franklin Mint ones were really tiny.. postage stamp size. And they were solid silver. They also did postage stamps and stuff, and they came in a wooden case. I've got one someplace.. a set of world flags I think mine is. Haven't laid eyes on it in like 20 years or so.

These things are just a bit of silver plate or gold leaf on a substrate.. plastic IIRC, but quite thin nonetheless. I've got a couple lying around somewhere I think.

They're a novelty item, not even granny bait as such. More a souvenir thing. And yeah, no numismatic or bullion value.

I like stuff like that Kel and have the odd bits and pieces

remember now, the old trinket stuff can be worth a fortune 50 years on!!

That's cool. Trinkets like this are nice to have, like my gold egg and mum's gold orchid. No real value, but they sure are pretty and lovely to look at.

There's more to life than money.
