Title: PNC Section
Post by: naomi_j86 on November 29, 2012, 08:33:44 PM
We have been chatting about PNCs...
Can't it have a section too?

Now I don't want you to think that I am automatically opposed to new forum section suggestions........ but in this case I'd oppose this suggestion because we've only really spoken about PNC's three times that I can recall (the $2 thing, PPH's PNI quandary, and the Sydney Swans $1 PNC).  That's three times in three months.  Not really worth a separate section IMHO.

No worries, how about a section just for Canberra florins.
I am sure that I would have mentioned them more than 3 times.

The amount that you've been posting recently you're almost deserving of your own forum section.  We could call it Trout's Naughty Corner. :yahoo:

PNCs usually have 1 come out each month, so therefore if we've talked about them 3 times, I think it's worth it!

Perhaps it will encourage us to talk about them more if we had a special section!

Otherwise I may just spam the heck out of the forum, randomly writing about different PNCs ;)

P.S. I am not opposed to having it joint with another category, eg: medals, pncs, etc (it's a little quiet in that one)

And what if it's a medallion PNC that you want to talk about?

Because I get asked for them all the time I now go out of my way to get them and like $1, 20c and 50c I now have just about every coin pnc in stock. Three years ago this was not the case. Since AP have made these regular issues they have really taken off.

I've tacked on some words to the Australian Medals, Tokens, and Exonumia section to include PNC's.  That section is never used so let's see if some lively PNC related chit chat can wake it up.

Thank you! I do like compromise!

Thanks! Wow - I must one of the few that still collect them. I have quite a large PNC collection, and would love to hear more discussion about them, that way PNC's might even get their own section.
