Post by: stevo1962 on December 26, 2014, 10:00:09 AM
Took a chance on a purchase from a Portugese seller hoping that this coin will hit MS64

Don't think its cleaned as it still has a frosty finish but those are the risks you take when buying from a photo

That would be a great result

Has the pvc look to it, however, it looks like the pvc has tried to e washed off. Look at the 1950 date as well as at 8 oclock from the kings head.

That could actually be dripping in lustre and the person took pics with the wrong settings and dulled the look. I can't wait to see your pics  when you get it Stevo

To me it has frosty lustrous surfaces with a couple of small marks on the obverse holding it back from a really high grade

For comparison.
The PCGS photo is not the best - the coin actually has frostly lustre.
Yours looks a bit similiar to me.

the images are not the best but I would have spent $60 for that in a Heartbeat.
Minimum Grade would be MS63 A 64 is a definite possibility, Well Done mate :yahoo:

That MS65 looks to have more obverse chatter than mine so this could be very be interesting
