Well Santa brought me a Navman, a Leatherman and a trio of cordless phones (to replace the old "hand-me-ups" -that is discards from children to parents).
And some US currency -hand delivered- two bags of coins, including several 2014, assortment of Statehood and National Parks quarters and a number of $1 coins. Plus some consecutive trios of $1 notes and some $2 notes.
Also, permission to get into some wine with dinner; unfortunately our planned al fresco dinner in the courtyard had to go to plan B because he has just delivered some good, steady rain too. :yahoo:
PS. I also scored $50 from the money tree.
Sounds like you scored really well Jeff :) I've been a very bad boy..as always :winkextra:
But, did anyone tell Santa?
He is way too busy to personally check every potential bad boy, or girl, out!
Don't have to mate I think I'm permanently on the bad list :laugh2:
I got some smellies and some cash and I got myself my predecimal proofs so I did ok :)
I got this guy to sit on to of my computer monitors with all my other Star Wars Lego that's already sitting up there looking at me while I work.

And I got a amazingly cool set of Fiskars left handed scissors so that finally after 43.75 years I can cut paper correctly.
And I got this coin, a British West Africa 1937KN penny graded as Specimen 67. Ex the King's Norton Mint Archives.

Gee. You must have been a very good boy to get that BWA penny.
Now that's AWESOME mate :yahoo: someone has been a very good boy so I hope PP/santa got something nice :winkextra:
Santa was very good to me this year. We also got compliments from all the children that they had a good run with presents and were happy. I can't tell you how happy Mark is with his pair of scissors!!
I scored a gold aquamarine starburst pendant, a WWI wooden vesta box with intricate inlay of mother of pearl brought back by a solder from Palestine or Israel, a new pink rock egg for my egg collection, a wooden box with decimal conversion chart inside the lid, a selection of unnecessary dustcatchers from the in-laws and choccies including Ferrero Rochers.

it sounds like you need a wheelbarrow for that haul!
not sure if I quite get the error but the coin looks nice anyways ....
ps Merry Christmas to you and yours xx
Looks like you have been good !
I got 2 gift cards, pyjama suit (family secret Santa ) and a work shirt !
I bought myself a 1953 Sixpence MS65 and 1957 Florin in MS65....
Ha, how could I fotget ACF secret Santa present... Ned kelly gold one pound note, 1962 Shill and a 1963 3D in UNC.
Thank you Santa !
:swoon: Well I'll be, very nice PP and did really well mate :ok:
Hehe, ok RG here ya go mate, yeah finally working this stupid pain out..ya know ya can't rush these things and sorry for so many arrows, got a little carried away :blush2:
Anyhows, the blue are the tip of the rim on the obverse, yellow are the top of the reeding side and the red indicates the error where it doesn't have a nice clean rim and looking at it it might cut you pretty quick, another awesome coin PP and thanks for sharing team :hi: Someone will probably shoot me down in flames but I don't care 'cause at least I tried and hope you can understand

Oh and I got a Bunnings gift card, thanks santa :)
thanks AJ
the arrows are tops
nice lot of pressies there as well
I got what I suggested when asked 'what do you want for Chrissy mum'- an olive tree and a cooking book holder - so am a happy camper!
I thought that the edge of a proof coin should cut you
I also always thought that the rim beads should be perfect
I once sold a pre-dec copper coin that was commented to have proof like appearance but because the rim beads we similar in appearance to those on PP's coin (Beth through to DEI) , I assumed it couldn't have been a proof
learn something everyday
Gee so you've/they've made Mr RG redundant and put him out of a job..bloody technology stuffing it up for everyone, does he still at least get to lick the spoon and bowl :( so does he get to sit in the lounge watching the footy now he's done out of a job :)
hum , not exactly sure what you mean AJ?
the hubby still has his job (at work)
at home he still has his jobs (mowing, rubbish removal, good cooking and good company)
he cooked up a top meal tonight of barra/home made chippies par excel-lance and buttered garlic Balmain bug tails - very employable, my guy!!
Sorry mate, I thought it might have been his job to hold the book..it's ok I'll shut up and have another rest for a while :winkextra:
oh OK - get ya now
no he doesn't do that as a rule. (the cook book usually ends up buried in the ingredients mess that I make with my cooking )
but he did hit the kitchen with me yesterday and we whipped up a beaut batch of gingerbread men, angles and stars
in fact he did a better job of cutting them out than me
it was a nice way to start Chrissy day for us

Well there's a life-pro-tip for you!
Got plenty of chocolates, nuts, and no jocks, socks or hankies.
this is much like the one I got
not with the map though
it worked brilliantly for me today when we cooked up a storm for the family
(ps I don't have any overhanging cupboards anymore to hang a pants cook book holder - but it is brilliant anyways)

Not as nice as that '59 Proof, but
My dear better half must have been taking notice
I've been looking for a '50 Halfpenny for some time.
(The Better Halfs' Birthyear)
This was snaffled by her from Numisbid, very sneaky.

Slight rotation to boot. Very hard year for this coin.
