Title: Royal Australian Mint Medals

I've been researching Royal Australian Mint Medals
1970-1984 (http://www.australian-threepence.com/collecting-coins/royal-australian-mint-medal-c1970-1984-c-r7/)
1985-1988 (http://www.australian-threepence.com/medals/royal-australian-mint-medal-c1985-1988-c-r8/)

I have a few of the earlier one's and only one example of the later. They fall into three themes of collecting that I enjoy and that's the RAM, coins on coins/medals and the process of making coins. The most frustrating thing for me is not having a complete set of older RAM reports so my information is always incomplete. Along with that for the later medals the RAM printed mintages of "Royal Australian Mint medal various" which for me doesn't cut it for preciseness in composition/size/design etc. Carlisle (catalogue) suggests these medals are circa 1966 which is also incorrect.
If you're looking you should be able to pick up one of these medals for $20-$30 although I have seen them listed for up to $100.

It's very cool. I have a number of them, if I stumbled across another for $15 or so then I'd just buy it!  I believe it to be identical to the one pictured in the article at the bottom and by the look of the box it's an earlier piece.
