I hadn't heard of them before trout posted these threads about them. I went to the RAM website to find out what they were.

It's a... novel... concept. But I certainly won't be buying any, either for myself or as gifts for someone else.

I will not be buying any....overpriced as usual.

Have given up on Australian $1 coins.[/align]

A dealer friend told me these are flying off the shelves. Just as some members here have mentioned, it's lovely to get a J for nephew Jake and a K for cousin Kieren. There are a lot more "I need a gift" people out there than there are collectors and I feel these are exactly the NCLT real collectors need to avoid. I wish they had made them 40mm so I wasn't forced into a decision. But the decision is made, the collection stops here.

A yes from me. They suit me as a random collector!

Especially as I have no frosted finish coins as yet.

QuoteEspecially as I have no frosted finish coins as yet.

I have all the other frosted coloured coins 36 of them in all.
They have all been graded by PCGS so I imagine I will be doing the same with the ABC coins

By and large I am interested in coins that hit circulation (and there are enough of those!) so not for me.
