Inside cover of Australia Post's Impressions glossy brochure is advertised a limited PNC with both coloured $2 coin, the red poppy and the new green one. (The poppy may be the C mintmark -it states no mintmark on 2014 coin implying there is one on the poppy coin) These are limited to 1,111 issued and gold foil postmarked 11am, 11/11/14.
$59.95 each limit 3 per customer phone orders only from midday aest 26 Nov get in quick! I'll be trying to get through, how about you?
Oh there is also a Perth Mint thing completely unrelated.

$60 for $4 face with a flash gold foil :yahoo:
MMMMMMMM.... Don't think so PP:angel:
I have already booked my home phone from 1150am till I have secured the coins.
Further, another limited edition Xmas PNC, only 300 to be issued is on page 21 at a cost of $39.95. The best part is that I received my catalogue last Thursday and ordered my five no problems, so there are only 295 left for the rest of Australia. When I phoned through last week and ordered the five, the operator asked where I got the info from. I told her that I received the catalogue that day and rang. I was the first to order according to her. I did phone/contact another forum member re this issue on the same day.
I have also ordered the limited edition triple medallion Things that sting on page 10.
Further, toady, I received a second catalogue, the same as the one last week.
I see no value in the Xmas PNC with a Perth Mint coin for $39.95 each why do you want 5 Goldseeker?
With al limited number of only 300, I shall sell a couple on EBay for hopefully, a big profit.

Next question are they worth buying?
NIMHO, but then I haven't bought any PNC for a number of years, so wait & see if anyone else has a different opinion.
Okay thanks a lot :)
Enjoy what you collect whatever it may be :)

Good call on this one Goldseeker. A couple have been bid up to near $300 on eBay already.
Interesting information. But how can the bidding be up to almost $300 when the PNC has NOT been released yet.
Release date is 26 Nov 2014.
Strange.
Christmas PNC must have been available straight away.
Yes, the Xmas Gold Foiled PNC was made available some week ago but this thread is dealing with the Remembrance PNC and not the Xmas PNC.
I replied to your comment about the Christmas pnc having a limited number of 300 and how you were hoping for a big profit on eBay, which you wrote in this thread.
I did a quick eBay search and couldn't see any sales or high prices you say.
There is these ones regarding the Christmas 2014 PNC-Perth Mint

I know this Topic is about the Remembrance Day PNC from the Impressions catalogue. Just looked myself and saw these, which is what eirelad was talking about?
OK eirelad, I apologise. I can see where you got my statement from and it was me that led this Remembrance PNC off topic to inlude the Xmas PNC. My apologies for having a bit of a go at you.

Ok I thought it was related to the Remembrance PNC.
After waiting for 3 hrs 14 mins and 11 secs on hold, I finally got through and got myself three of these Limited Edition PNC's.
All we have to do is await delivery.

Ha, poor you!! I only had to wait 3hours & 4minutes & 8 seconds.
But,, then I put my wife (who has an account) on the phone who was also able to order three,
So was able to get six.
Off to ebay with them.
waited for 3 hours on hold and then hung up.
Tried to phone again when got back from shopping and message said to call back during opening hours of 8.30am to 5pm. This was only 4pm. Looks like they closed the lines early for the back log.
I am "Biting my Tung" here you Guys :ok:
Also waited for over 3 and a half hours. Obviously thought that what I had to do in life was more needed, and that a PNC I was never going to achieve.
Already on eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Australia-2014-Remembrance-Day-Pnc-Limited-Edition-Of-1-111-Gold-Foil-/141485476072?pt=AU_Coins2&hash=item20f13108e8).
Sadly I had forgotten today was the day. But sitting on the phone all day is not my kind of fun.
I was on hold 1 hr & 10 mins.
Almost hung up, but ended up getting my 3.
I would not have waited over 3 hours.

I forgot all about it as well :@ a friend who sprooked to me how he ordered one was on hold for 2 hours before he got to an operator. He was told delivery time was 3 weeks ?
The eBay seller ... $600 no way
On Wednesday last week when I waited over 3 and a half hours to get though, I didn't think any more of it as I got through but the sales people and the credit card people are two seperate areas and after speaking to both they put me back to the original aus post people so they could press the pay button, as I hadnt set up my card for payment until that transaction and I thought, oh no another 3 hour wait, so I hung up and thought, nope missed out!
Anyhow, yesterday I actually got a letter stating that they had put the 3 PNC's on hold for me and I had to contact them back to fix up the payment before say 14 days, so now I am getting the 3 PNC's and all is good. It goes to show, even through all the thinking of missing out, and it being not possible, Never, Ever give up. One happy chappy! :) :) :) What an awesome system to send a letter confirming your hold that you thought had not even eventuated.
Same thing happened with me,got a letter yesterday stating my order was on hold, ring this number,i rang & they said sorry sir your order payment had been received & the letter had been sent a day early,a little scare to get the blood pumping first thing in the morning lol.
One thing one must do for these limited edition releases - HANG IN THERE........................
Yeah I got the same letter to say my order was on hold as I had insufficient funds in my account so I quickly phoned to say that was wrong.
My order had been processed she said and to disregard the letter and that a few of these letters had been sent out incorrectly.
Disturbing how many of these PNCs are listed for sale on eBay when seller doesn't even have them.
I hope all genuine collectors could get one at issue price
I have three in my hands at present, numbered 871-2-3.
I will be putting them up on EBay but not until the flood has subsided.

I have 571-2-3
Realistically anyone who phoned in and was successful with order would have bought the maximum of 3
This transacts to less than 400 people who have these and can keep for collection or onsell them
It's a real shame genuine PNC collectors can't buy these at issue price when sharks are listing stuff like this

Hmmmm .
3 per customer and you are getting your second lot of 3, How many more have you in the pipeline.
These are starting to shape up like the VC coin Fiasco :dodgy:
One person already said he got 6 by putting his wife on the line. Goldseeker could have done the same thing.
Maybe it depends on how many relatives one has and who has the time to wait on line like me and..........

The VC ballot coin for some reason is still fetching huge markup prices however I believe this PNC is one the best AP have done
I must be missing something :dontknow:
Two unremarkable coins are put on an envelope and they immediately get recognition as being "Rare", Very similar to the "Yarralumla" PNC.
Removed from the envelope and the coins are simply "Pocket Change"
I collect coins Not packaging and as such have absolutely No interest in this sort of thing.
Hmm let me think for a sec....... A couple of these PNC's or a Gold Pagoda that has True rarity and beauty, Tough choice :laugh2:
But don't forget, the VC Ballot coin was a fiasco because at least 100 of those coins were sent/given to the Aust War Memorial Shop for sale at issue price.
Now, where was that advertised?
Shame..
At least this issue is only available from the Aust Post Philatelic and not a "few" sent elsewhere for sale.
So the secondary market fills the gap on this one.
Question is, why were phone in customers allowed to buy three PNC's whereas on all other Limited Edition PNC's, one could only buy one at a time. That included Limited Edition PNC's sold at the World Coin and Banknote Expo at Etihad Stadium.
Seems to me the prices being realized is under tho adage supply and demand and I trust the "demand" still exists for the next few weeks.
Hate to say this but my daughter just walked in with three more Remembrance PNC's numbered 961-2-3.
Hopefully I might be able top make some sort of profit off of EBay once the flood has stopped.

I am certain that you read my views regarding this sort of thing on previous posts in this thread before they got "Moderated" Goldie.:dodgy:
Unbloodybelievable :dash1::dash1::dash1:
Not sure that I did Trout but whatever you said, I am sure it was in good order and not meant to be nasty.
(I have received several PM's re the actions of the Moderators and I have chosen to ignore these comments. We are guests if you like on this forum and if the Mods want to remove comments then I will not argue with that).
I can now see how some people can secure many ITEMS and others none.
However, if one has the time and patience, I am sure that these things can be overcome and all will work out for the good of everyone.
PM replied to Bruce :ok:
I would've been happy to secure 1 at issue price for my collection
