From post in the C mm green $2 thread (didn't want to hijack that thread too.)
RAM notice (http://www.ramint.gov.au/media/noticeboard/2014/20141009.cfm)
It seems the RAM wants collectors to do a lot of travelling to keep their collections complete.
MMMMMMM
I have bought 27 different 25mm dollar coins so far this year, The Mint must be going for some sort of production record this year
I think this different mint marks from different shows is starting to become a bit of a pain in the bum :dash1:

I have just checked my list and to date I have purchased 22 x 25mm coins for this year.
Will be interesting to find out what ones I have missed.
Special folder for this 15k mobile press M ?
it will most likely be in a holder with, mintage, and m counter stamp - same as every other counter stamp coin
Only time will tell.

You're going to hate 2015 with 26+ of them being released in November 2014 alone.
After reading the below RAM Media release I think 15000 mintage for the M counterstrike only available for 1 day is a a bit optimistic with "Limits on the number of coins available per purchase per person may apply".Dealers will be able to obtain these ?
The C mintmark $2 coin will be available to buy at RAM by normal means without attendance
.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
To mark Remembrance Day 2014, we will be taking the mobile coin press to Melbourne on 11 November 2014 on the grounds of the Shrine of Remembrance and counterstamping an 'M' for Melbourne onto the 2014 $1 100 Years of Anzac Circulating Coin.

The Mint will have a special pop-up shop with the mobile coin press onsite and will be selling the 2014 $2 Remembrance Day 'C' Mintmark Coloured Uncirculated Coin. Other Official Anzac Centenary Coin Program products will not be sold at the pop-up shop, but the Shrine of Remembrance visitor shop will be stocking all other products currently available in the Program.

The way the mint is pumping these same but "different" coins out is really starting to p-----s me off.
I'm calling it quits on the 25mm dollars, enough is enough , I have nearly every dollar coin from 1984 until now and that is as far as I am willing to go.
I would rather spend my resources on real coins like the proclamation coins than the crap RAM is spooling out lately :dodgy:

Join with us, please.
Anybody else?
I know that 5000 people are already going just to the Remembrance thing, I was told not to bother parking there, glad im a few mins walk away, so if they all buy 3 coins each that would be the total haha, but I think its the normal 5 coins per pop, not everyone is a coin'e tho.

QuoteDon't think so: "neither of us will buy any more ONE DOLLAR COINS after the year 2014".
What, another 26 coins to be released in November. What are they?
the day is a Tuesday and its not a holiday as far as I know, so if I go it might be on a lunch break, or my boss might give me the day off ;)
people stop sending me messages to get you coins, unless you put how many you want, (and not 20 or some large number I am human not a robot that wants to spend my whole day lining up to stamp coins) and all that stuff I wont be getting them for strangers, of course if you are someone I know I might go out of my way to get one for ya xx
nope
the man said -
"after the year 2014."
This $1 coin is collectable never an investment
Trouble is, comparison of the coins used for the M Counterstamp and the AL Counterstamp are quite different.
My M coins are all marked, scratched and one has three gauges across the neck of the Queen. The AL coins are quite reasonable and leaves the M coins for dead.
I spoke with the RAM today and they confirmed that both the A M and AL coins are the same as the circulating coins. Nothing special.
All the coins came from the same bin/barrel as per normal circulating 100 Years ANZAC coins.
At $10 a pop, we were definitely robbed. Maybe $2 per coin should have been the price.
yes that is why next year I refuse to collect the yearly counter stamp coins, issued at different locations, and stuff, its just not worth chasing them when coin dealers get a allocation anyway, and mintages are not low, they are one step away from minting to pre order.
It's quiet disappointing really that the RAM minted the Anzac $1 coins earlier this year but didn't offer them for collectors in a folder, yet they dig some up for the counterstrikes at inflated prices
I have already aired my views to reps at the RAM and I believe a complaint form was raised as a result.
I can only wait for a detailed response although I did get a phone call last evening about it all.
Thank you to the wonderful person who was able to get me the 2 ANZAC 'M' Counterstamp coins from the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne recently, you know who you are and it's very much appreciated for all the effort you went to, including the wonderful packaging :)
I am aware that someone has a few of the "M" as spares so if you require a couple please PM me.
(No, I do not have spares myself).
I received a couple of these in the mail which is the result of a lot of time and effort from AC and Jenny, Thank you
It is a Bloody shame that RAM didn't take the same care and effort with the coins :dash1:
Badly handled and it even looks like the early stages of PVC damage on the coins as well :cray:

NCLT that have been pulled out at random from a bulk millions of coins mass production run, add a counterstamp and you can charge $9 more!!!!!!

Quite Shameful really, you would think that they would have used a new die and took some care when making these for the "Counterstamp Circus" instead of churning out this type of Crap.
I know for certain if my standard of work was this shoddy I would be out of a job and quite likely my Boss would be out of Business.
