is that how the first coin is made, the number 50 is not raised

I think that's probably an optical illusion.  It often happens with me when looking at coin piccies, especially online.  Keep looking and it will correct itself.

The eye is easily fooled that way if the lighting is even and no hint from a shadow. If there is a shadow then that immediately defines if it is relief or incused.
Look at it and adjust your focus and/or direction of gaze (or cover alternate eyes) you can sometimes make it appear to alternate between the two.

Yeah,i noticed that on scans as soon as i moved from CRT to LCD about 12 years ago,i thought it was just an LCD thing but i have noticed it on CRT's in Internet Cafe's as well.

Yes it's the way it is, the top half of the coin has raised writing and the bottom letters and numbers are incused, yes a little odd to do that so no it's not an optical illusion in this case so your not going mad  Ok maybe just a little :P but that's normal :tease: :)

Thanks me lovelies :give_heart:
Yes I had an op on the 21st, a lovely pilonidal sinus removed and stitches out last monday and still a bit sore and very painful for quite a few weeks and got a slight infection but the antibiotics seemed to be working well and healing ok now but can't sit for long so trying not to spend much time on line but I'm bored and can't wait to get back into things :whistle2:

They said they can take up to two months to heal but with a bit of luck I won't take that long  but feeling better by the day :wavemulticolor:

Taken internally or externally applied? I don't think AJ is up for either of those methods.
Can you suggest alternative medicinal compounds (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2x8D4T--0v4) please.
