G'day folks
Loving this forum and learning a lot of new stuff. I am interested if any one can tell me what ebay sellers are good, bad and downright ugly?
Thanks for the help!
Nath
Good sellers recommendations are welcome. Bad and downright ugly please keep it to PM's and do not post them here.
I am a lousy seller with a good reputation and I am downright UGLY to look at :laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:
Ok then I may re-phrase myself, Who are the good sellers on ebay?? I see a lot of photo/light trickery making coins appear better than they actually are. And I for one, don't wish to get stung.
Trout, Good head for radio you reckon??

Hi Nathan :welcome: good to see that you made your way over here. With regards to bad sellers we have discussed plenty on this forum and usually if a photo looks a bit funny then probably trust your instincts. You can usually tell by their feedback.Regarding the good sellers I think many members here sell on ebay and are mostly trustworthy. As for me I like to buy the overseas bargains when I can (Australian coins) and have been stung a few times but have also scored some beauties.Just be selective in what you buy and if you're not sure then post a link or photo in this forum and we'll give you an opinion
Gday Steve!
Thanks for the welcome. Thanks for the information mate. yes I've noticed that a lot of people post the photographs of what they are thinking about buying prior to a sale.
Im only new to buying raw coins and getting them graded so all the information I can gather will give me a more educated way to splash my cash!
Thanks again
Nath

I was going to say buy a few graded already to see what a good coin looks like and what that grading company likes. Steer clear of APCGS. Learn the PCGS bodybag codes on "genuine" slabs. Remember it's always more difficult when taking a punt from a sellers photo, it's ALWAYS best to see a coin in hand. Make note of the return policy.
Welcome Nathan ,:yahoo: just keep buying coins off me you will be right lol

The return policy is a good tip. If a seller is happy to receive a coin back without question, then the risk to the buyer is much lower. My favourite sellers all have a 'no questions asked' return policy.
