It works AJ but takes time,as in Months on heavily corroded Coins, and can discolour Patina depending on Oil used and time left to soak.I usely wash them in soap & water & leave them in shaded sunlight to dry for a Month or so after soaking.

Olive Oil is normally used.

WOW, ok first thing first. Yeah I used olive oil :ok:
Gee Basil that link is a bloody disgrace and sorry you have been able to come on :( Oh thanks heaps for the advice Basil, much appreciated mate :good: They don't have much patina left but it's good to know these things so a wash and good dry after :hi: So why shaded sunlight, is it because you don't want to heat them up too much or it just does a better job doing a slow cure, very interesting :)

Oh and should I flip them over every so often or just leave them? Any handy hints are really appreciate, thanks team.

AJ,not sure about the sunlight thing,i was told to dry them out of sunlight as a kid in the 1960's by a Dealer.I soak them in egg cups so both sides are equally exposed,i found some that are suitable for pennies & halves.

Only joking about the One Seniors,i don't use them, but its caught a lot of people as it was heavily promoted a year or so back.I use both Telstra 4G(small 1gb plan for bidding on Ebay & other Auction sites) & Optus 3G(5gb is cheaper than Telstra's 1gb) for all the other day to day stuff such as Forums & Ebay browsing. It works well as Optus can regulary drop out during peak periods or Holiday times and can be annoying if your trying to bid on something.

A plastic ice cube tray (tapered sides) can also come in handy. Each coin then has its own private soak and the tray is easy to  move.
