Title: Lighthouse Quadrums
Post by: proof27 on April 28, 2014, 05:10:05 PM
G'day all, just wondering on your thoughts on housing coins in Lighthouse Quadrum capsules, with regards to the foam inserts and so on. I like the way they display silver coins.
Thanks.

I have a few and yeah they don't look too bad but storing them is a bit of a pain.

They make really nice stackable felt storage boxes for them.  They have clear tops and store 20 quadrums, they cost a bit but if you want to display coins they are worth it.

The Quadrum capsules now contain Intercept shield inserts. This is the same product the RAM was putting in the proof sets a few years ago. I dunno what happened, they went out of business but looks like they got bought out by Lighthouse. I don't know what the story is or what the RAM are using now.

As far as I can tell the RAM Proof sets are in the same packaging type still.
I haven't noticed any difference in the inserts when cracking them out.
